UAE: Further obstacles facing F-35 deal?note

In June, US President Joe Biden requested the removal of China’s Huawei Technologies Co. from the UAE’s telecommunications networks within four years, using the F-35 deal as leverage.

Media reports had also claimed that US concerns over the UAE’s growing ties with China may hinder the sale of F-35 fighter jets to the UAE Air Force (UAEAF).

In addition to these issues, the UAE and the United States are said to be discussing other differences related to the F-35 deal.

Tactical Report has prepared a 454-word report to shed more light on these differences and on the obstacles facing the completion of this deal.
