Bahraini Crown Prince Salman Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, who also acts as Deputy Supreme Commander of the Bahraini Armed Forces, is said to be now favoring a deal for the Lockheed Martin F-16 aircraft rather than a deal for the Eurofighter Typhoon.
