Algerian Navy, LCS or FREMMnote

The Algerian Defence Ministry is said to have a project to buy new frigates for the Algerian Navy. The following 416-word report sheds light on the subject and tells what about the alternatives, notably on what concerns the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) or the FREMM-class frigate. Note that there are two types of LCS, the LCS-1 which is built by Lockheed Martin and the LCS-2 which is built by General Dynamics in partnership with Austal USA, while the FREMM-class frigate is jointly built by DCNS of France and Fincantieri/Finmeccanica of Italy.
