Saudi Defence Ministry, the Pentagon and LCS dealnote

The Pentagon is said to be urging the Saudi Defence Ministry to go ahead with a deal for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) in the context of the Saudi Navy frigate programme. The following 484-word report sheds more light on the Pentagon’s position and tells what about the Saudi reaction. Note that Lockheed Martin and General Dynamics are competing against each other to win the deal, with Lockheed Martin offering the LCS-1 and General Dynamics offering the LCS-2 in partnership with Austal USA.
