Senior officials from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense (MoD) have reportedly held a first working-level meeting with the Japanese Military Attaché in Kuwait, Colonel Ryo Tatsukawa, to advance the strategic partnership between both countries.
This came after a meeting on 15/10/2025 between the Chief of Staff of the Kuwait Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Khaled Daraj Al-Shariaan, and the Japanese Ambassador to Kuwait, Kenichiro Mukai.
