The UAE Space Agency and EDGE Group signed in November 2023 a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to launch the Sirb program, which involves a constellation of three synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites.
As the program’s industrial lead, EDGE is responsible for securing key international partnerships to bring the Sirb satellite project to fruition. To this end, it has engaged with several international firms to assess technical viability.
