Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan succeeded in strengthening his country’s economic, financial, and defense relations with Qatar and managed to establish strong ties with the Al Thani ruling family.
Senior Al Thani family members view President Erdogan as the most trusted ally on whom Doha can rely during crises and wished Qatari Emir Tamim to further expand political and defense relations with Turkiye.
In this regard, bilateral relations between the two countries will witness the launch of strategic defense projects.
The Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lt-General Salem Bin Hamad Al-Nabit discussed on 25/5/2023 with the Deputy Chief of the Turkish Armed Forces General Selcuk Bayraktaroglu enhancing defense cooperation between the two countries.
