The Chinese Minister of National Defense General Wei Fenghe visited Oman in April 2022, where he met with several Omani officials in Muscat.
During the visit, the two sides finalized the draft of a military memorandum of understanding (MoU). It was expected to be officially announced in July 2022.
However, The MoU was put on hold.
