UAE President Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan is reported to be willing to continue military cooperation with Moscow regarding the needed upgrades of the UAE’s Russian-made Pantsir-S1 short-range air defense systems.
However, talks are going slow between UAE Armed Forces and Russian Instrument Design Bureau over the new upgrade configurations and increases to the Pantsir radar range.
