UAE, Naval Group: Failure of talks over Barracuda submarine?note

The UAE is said to be strongly seeking to provide the UAE Navy with the most advanced types of submarines.

In this regard, there is talk that the UAE contacted French shipbuilder Naval Group for the procurement of Suffren-Barracuda nuclear attack submarines. However, these talks are said to have ended after both sides failed to reach a preliminary agreement.
