Houthis reject Saudi-Iran negotiationsnote

Saudi and Iranian officials reportedly held direct talks earlier this month (9/4/21) in Baghdad, in an effort to repair relations between the two countries.

This is said to come as part of efforts by several Arab sides to mediate between Riyadh and Tehran on a number of files, including particularly the war in Yemen.

However, there is talk that the Yemeni Houthi rebels have rejected the Saudi-Iranian negotiations. This comes in light of increased Houthi attacks on Saudi facilities, most recently (15/4/21) against a Saudi Aramco facility in Jazan.
