Saudi Arabia, Italy and defense cooperationnote

During a two-day visit to Jordan and Saudi Arabia, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Luigi Di Maio met separately on Sunday 10/1/21 with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz and Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan Al-Saud in Al-Ula.

Prince Faisal and Di Maio signed  a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to inaugurate the Italy-Saudi Arabia bilateral strategic dialogue.

There is talk that the MoU will likely pave the way for further cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Italy in several fields, including infrastructure, security and military industries.
