Qatar, Libya GNA and coastal patrol boatsnote

Qatari Emir Tamim is said to be prepared to provide financial support for the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) to help it secure the areas under its control, notably the capital Tripoli.

There is talk that the Qatari financial support will include the purchase of coastal patrol boats in favor of the Libyan Coast Guard (LCG).

This comes following a recent visit by GNA Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha and Foreign Minister Mohammad Al-Taher Siala to Doha during which a security agreement was signed between both countries.
