The Russian Foreign Ministry is said to have asked to set a meeting for Head of the Russian Federal Service for Military – Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz to discuss an offer for Russian-made air defense systems of type S-300 or S-400.
This comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin renewed a proposal to supply Saudi Arabia with the S-400 following the attacks that targeted Saudi Aramco’s Abqaiq and Khurais oil facilities earlier this week.
These attacks caused a major disruption in oil supplies. They resulted in production suspension of 5.7 million barrels of crude oil per day, according to Aramco official website.
Note that President Putin is due to visit Saudi Arabia next month.
Tactical Report has prepared a 470-word special report to shed light on the reaction of Crown Prince Mohammad to the Russian efforts to market the S-300 or the S-400 to the Kingdom and tell whether the S-400 has become any option or not.
