Saudi King Salman issued on 8/9/19 a royal decree whereby he appointed his son Prince Abdulaziz as Energy Minister in place of Khaled Al-Falih.
Prince Abdulaziz Bin Salman is said to have received unanimous consent from all branches of the ruling Al Saud family.
He is the first member of the ruling Al Saud family who takes over the Energy Ministry.
