GCC: Interest in buying more anti-tank missile systemsnote
Arab Gulf sources expect the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) defence ministries to buy more new generation anti-tank missile systems while upgrading or modifying the anti-tank missile systems currently in service with their armed forces. The cost of such a programme is estimated to vary between $400m and $600m. The following 192-word report included in Tactical Weekly of December 19, 2008 focuses on the issue and tells what companies are expected to get a share of the programme. Note that the GCC states include Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
