Iraq: New bidders for Akkas gas projectnote
Iraqi oil officials have been complaining that only a few companies bid for the Akkas gas project in the Western Desert. Royal Dutch Shell, Total and Edison figure among those few bidders. The Iraqi Oil Ministry has now extended the bid deadline from April 24, 2008 to May 18, 2008 with the wish of seeing more bidders.
