Iran’s nuclear programme in the light of Majlis electionsnote

The conservatives won more than 70% of votes in the parliamentary elections held on March 14, 2008. Besides, they won around 60% of votes cast by national and liberal groups. Iranian concordant sources say this reflects that most Iranians support their country’s nuclear programme and its right to enrich uranium.
