Saudi King Salman held an exceptional meeting last week to assess the situation on the southern front with the Yemeni Houthi rebels.
This comes following the visit lately-appointed Deputy Defence Minister Prince Khaled Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz paid to the front where he met with the military commanders and had a look at the military situation there.
