Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, who also acts as Defence Minister, chaired on 31/1/19 the first meeting of the Saudi Defence Council in Riyadh.
The meeting approved the activation of the Defence Ministry’s key governance councils: The Project Review and Investment Board, the Council of Services and Business, the Appointments Board and the Joint Military Council.
During the meeting, Crown Prince Mohammad is said to have asked to reactivate and tighten the administrative and financial control of all the arms deals in favor of the Saudi military forces.
