In line with Vision 2030, the Kingdom is bound to launch its first Saudi communication satellite KA SGS-1 into space on 5/2/19 from Kourou - an overseas commune in French Guiana located in South America.
Lockheed Martin was entrusted with the production of the SGS-1 in cooperation with Saudi Arabian engineers and scientists who have been trained to contribute on developing the satellite project.
King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz are happy to see the Kingdom entering the space industry.
