Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz, who also acts as Defence Minister, still hopes to achieve a frigate deal with Lockheed Martin in favor of the Eastern Fleet of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF). He is said to be showing interest in a deal for the Multi-Mission Combat Ship (MMCS) rather than for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS).
