Kuwait Navy, plans to buy new corvettesnote

Commander of the Kuwaiti Navy Major-General Khaled Al-Kandari is reportedly going ahead with a project to buy new corvettes for the Kuwaiti Navy. He is said to have assured at a meeting with commanders of the Kuwaiti Navy that he would keep working to achieve this project despite that the Kuwaiti fiscal budget will be subject to austerity measures.
