The Minister of State for Energy Affairs and CEO of Qatar Energy (QE) Saad Al-Kaabi reportedly believes that neither European nor Asian consumers will emerge with any decisive advantage in procuring Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply.
He rather expects Europe and Asia to compete for both long-term sale and purchase agreements (SPAs) and spot cargoes for the foreseeable future.
Al-Kaabi points out that market cycles do not last forever and that LNG demand will rise, creating fierce competition in the longer term for Qatari LNG.
