There is talk that since the beginning of 2021, Saudi Arabia has strengthened its cooperation with Britain in the field of mobile radars as well as short and medium-range air defense systems.

In this regard, the Saudi Ministry of Defense is said to have approved the purchase of a British-made short-range man-portable air-defense system (MANPADS) of type STARStreak, produced by Thales Air Defense.
