Gulf sources claim that hundreds of retired military and security officers from Eastern Europe, notably from Yugoslavia, Ukraine and Poland are applying to join Arab security services.
Those officers are most interested in serving in Yemen, Jordan and Saudi Arabia, which are striving to fight extremist groups. They are almost sure the counter-terrorism services in these countries will hire them to make use of their experience in fighting terrorism.
Most of those officers had served in their countries in counter-terrorism units and are looking for new opportunities abroad.
