Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz held a meeting last week (29/4/21) with US Special Envoy For Yemen Timothy Lenderking in Riyadh.
The meeting came two days after Crown Prince Mohammad’s interview with Al Arabiya TV, during which he urged the Yemeni Houthi rebels to “sit at the negotiating table to reach solutions that guarantee rights for all” and that secure the interests of all countries in the region.
Crown Prince Mohammad also stated during the interview that “Iran is a neighboring country and all we aspire for is a good and special relationship with Tehran.”
Is Crown Prince Mohammad actually serious about opening a dialogue with Iran and the Houthis?
What are the motives behind his recent statements?
