Iraq: Kuwaiti support for border security projects

Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad arrived in Baghdad earlier today (19/6/19). He is due to meet with Iraqi President Barham Saleh and PM Adel Abdulmahdi.

Although his visit is the first of its kind in decades, its importance remains however in its timing as it takes place amid a growing tension between the United States and Iran.

A joint Iraqi-Kuwaiti security team is said to have been holding meetings since earlier this month to discuss a Kuwaiti support for Iraqi border security projects.

Tactical Report has prepared a 310-word report to shed light on the projects.
