During his last visit to Paris in December 2020, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met with a number of CEOs of French defense companies, including Dassault Aviation CEO Eric Trappier.
President El-Sisi and Trappier are said to have discussed a possible deal for the purchase of 12 more Rafale fighter jets in favor of the Egyptian Air Force (EAF).
