Saudi Arabia signed on 30/11/2022 a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Spanish shipbuilder Navantia to build multi-mission surface combatants (MMSCs) in favor of the RSNF.
The work is said to be currently in progress to establish the specifications for the development of the five MMSCs as outlined in the agreement.
