Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz visited South Korea on 17/11/2022 and met with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol in Seoul.
During the visit, 26 investment agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoU) were signed by Saudi companies and their Korean counterparts in the fields of energy, defense, and construction with a combined value of around $30 billion.
These MoU are expected to lead to the beginning of talks for Saudi procurement of air defense systems from South Korean defense companies, including LIG Nex1.
