The Qatari Minister of State for Defense Affairs Khaled Al-Attiyah reportedly discussed with Thales Group’s Senior Executive Vice-President for International Development Pascale Sourisse the ability of Thales radars to detect hypersonic cruise missiles (HCMs).
This comes under Thales' campaign to secure new air defense radar deals with Qatar Air Force (QAF).
U.S. defense companies are said to submit offers soon as well.
