The U.S. oil and gas company ExxonMobil and QatarEnergy (QE) signed in December 2021 an exploration and production sharing contract (EPSC) with Cyprus for the offshore Block 5 located southwest of the island.
ExxonMobil can confirm the beginning of seismic surveys in Block 5.
These are being done in coordination with QE.
