A spokesperson for the US Department of State said last week (15/9/21) that the Biden administration will withhold 130 US dollars in military aid to Egypt over human rights concerns.
This comes as US Secretary of State Tony Blinken refused to issue a waiver certifying that Egypt’s human rights record has improved.
There is talk that the United States will continue to withhold part of the FMF funds until Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi launches a series of major reforms to improve the human rights situation in Egypt.
Tactical Report has prepared a 324-word report to shed more light on this subject.
