CP Mohammad, Austin, and Saudi-Russia military cooperationnote

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin is scheduled to visit several Gulf countries this week, including Saudi Arabia.

The official purpose of Austin’s visit is to thank these countries for supporting US evacuation operations in Afghanistan.

However, there is talk that Austin will also discuss with Saudi officials the Pentagon’s concerns about the Saudi-Russian military cooperation agreement.
