The United States has recently closed three military bases in Qatar that were used to store weapons. The remaining supplies as well as US troops stationed in these bases were transferred to Jordan.
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement that the supplies from the main Al-Sailiya camp, the southern Al-Sailiya camp, and an ammunition supply point called Falcon, are now part of Area Support Group-Jordan.
It has been said that this move puts Washington in a better position to deal with a potential conflict with Iran.
However, there is also talk that the US evacuation will play in favor of enhancing Turkey's military role in Qatar.
Tactical Report has prepared a 433-word report to shed more light on this subject.
