Libyan Interim Prime Minister Abdelhamid Dabeiba met last Monday (31/5/21) with his Italian counterpart Mario Draghi in Rome.
PM Dabeiba was accompanied on his visit by a delegation of seven ministers from the Libyan Government of National Unity (GNU).
Prior to his meeting with PM Draghi, PM Dabeiba also took part in a business forum at the headquarters of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, alongside a number of important Italian defense and energy companies such as Leonardo, Fincantieri, ENI, Snam and Saipem.
In this context, there is talk that Libya and Italy have agreed to cooperate on strengthening the capabilities of the Libyan Coast Guard (LCG), as well as in several other fields, including security and energy.
