Saudi Arabia: General Abdulrahman, new SAMI Board membernote

General Abdulrahman Saleh Albunayyan was recently (18/5/21) appointed as a member of the board of directors of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI).

This came following an extraordinary general assembly meeting, where SAMI decided to restructure its board of directors and expand the number of board members from nine to ten.

General Albunayyan had previously served as Chief of Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces. He retired in 2018, and was directly appointed as a military adviser to Saudi King Salman.
