UAE: Sheikh Mohammad’s telephone conversation with Bidennote

Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan held a telephone conversation last Tuesday (4/5/21) with US President Joe Biden.

According to a statement released by the White House, they discussed “regional and global challenges, including Afghanistan, the nuclear and regional dimensions of the threat posed by Iran, as well as the common quest for de-escalation and peace in the Middle East.”

Following this conversation, several questions are said to have been raised about Sheikh Mohammad’s role with regards to the regional files that are of interest to President Biden and his diplomatic, military and security team.
