Saudi SAMI and cooperation with Navantianote

Last month (29/3/21), the Spanish shipbuilder announced the launch of the third of five Avante 2200 corvettes intended for the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF). The corvette is known as HAIL, and is scheduled to be delivered in 2022.

In 2018, the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) and Navantia launched a joint venture (JV) under the name SAMI Navantia Naval Industries (SAMINavantia) to design and construct five Avante 2200 corvettes for the RSNF.
