Qatar: Comprehensive security plan beyond 2022 World Cupnote

There is talk that contacts are still ongoing between Qatar and major international defense companies to acquire the needs required to protect 2022 FIFA World Cup facilities.

However, Qatari Minister of State for Defense Affairs Khaled Al-Attiyah is said to have claimed that the protection of sports facilities is part of a comprehensive plan which goes beyond the 2022 World Cup and aims to secure the protection of all strategic facilities.
