Egypt was reported last year to have made a deal with Italy worth more than 9.8 billion US dollars by a wide range of Italian media.
This deal is said to have included the procurement of a military radar satellite, in cooperation with Airbus Defense & Space (co-owned by Germany and France) and Thales Alenia Space (co-owned by Italy and France).
