Qatar, US and naval deal aheadnote

Qatari Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lt-General Ghanim Bin Shaheen Al-Ghanim held a telephone conversation earlier this month (3/2/21) with Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) General Kenneth McKenzie.

Lt-General Al-Ghanim and General McKenzie are said to have discussed the latest developments related to a naval deal that is currently being prepared.

Note that in December 2020,  Major-General Al-Sulaiti signed a naval agreement with Commander of the US Naval Forces Central Command Samuel Paparo, in the presence of Lt-General Al-Ghanim.
