Saudi Arabia: More air defense systems to counter Houthi attacks?note

The Yemeni Houthi rebels claimed responsibility for an attack launched last week (10/2/21) against the Abha airport in southern Saudi Arabia.

Following this, Saudi-led Arab military coalition spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Maliki revealed during an interview last Sunday (14/2/21) that the military coalition has intercepted more than 515 suicide drones launched by the Houthis.

Why are the Houthis still able to penetrate Saudi air defenses despite field measures taken by the Kingdom?

Is the Saudi Defense Ministry planning on acquiring more air defense systems to counter these attacks?

Tactical Report answers these questions and more in the following 439-word report.
