Over recent years, Qatar has invested heavily into expanding and diversifying its air fleet, as the country is motivated to rank among the strongest military air forces in the region.
As part of this, Qatar is said to have placed an order with Italian defense company Leonardo earlier this year for AW169 helicopters to be delivered imminently.
