Qatar and US sanctions on Turkeynote

The United States imposed sanctions last Monday (14/12/20) on the Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries, on its President Ismail Demir and on several of its senior executives, over Turkey’s purchase of Russian-made S-400 missile defense systems.

Qatari Emir Tamim is said to have previously warned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the consequences of such a US decision.
