Qatar and the Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA) signed a security agreement yesterday (26/10/20) in Doha, during a visit by GNA Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha and Foreign Minister Mohammad Al-Taher Siala.
This came after the GNA and the Libyan National Army (LNA) reached a permanent ceasefire agreement last week (23/10/20) in Geneva, following five days of UN-facilitated 5+5 Joint Military Commission (JMC) talks.
In this context, Qatari Emir Tamim is said to have reiterated Qatar’s unwavering support for the GNA going forward.
Tactical Report has prepared a 250-word report to shed more light on Emir Tamim's position, and provide details about the Qatar-GNA security agreement.
