French President Emmanuel Macron announced last Thursday (16/1/20) that France had deployed a radar system on the Saudi eastern coast in an effort to boost the Kingdom’s defenses.
France will also send the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier to the Middle East in support of the French “Operation Chammal” in Iraq and Syria.
The sudden French decision is said to have raised some questions in the Kingdom while Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman does not provide any details.
