Kuwaiti Emir Sabah received on Monday (9/9/2019) a telephone call from Saudi King Salman who inquired about his health.
King Salman’s call came after Emir Sabah was admitted to a U.S. hospital in Washington to undergo medical tests. As a result, Emir Sabah's meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump set for September 12 was rescheduled.
Emir Sabah expressed his gratitude to King Salman for his wishes and prayers.
During the telephone conversation, King Salman touched upon Emir Sabah’s mediation in the Qatar crisis. This is what our report focuses on.
Tension has recently escalated after Saudi Arabia issued a statement on Saturday to confirm its decision to break off commercial and diplomatic relations with Qatar.
The statement claims that Qatar is promoting terrorist groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood, and is not abiding by the agreement signed with the GCC countries in 2014.
Qatar denies Saudi Arabia’s accusations.
Tactical Report has prepared a 310-word report to shed more light on the telephone conversation between Emir Sabah and King Salman on the Qatar crisis.
