US President
Donald Trump says he will continue to aid the Saudi aspiration for a domestic
defense industry.
This is despite
the reservations of both prominent US Republican and Democratic senators, who
have cautioned that support to the Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI)
will reduce US-Saudi trade and the Saudi dependence on US arms exports.
